Interior of the Dime Savings Bank, ca. 1914. The Hamilton Dime Savings Bank was established in 1897 and was merged with the First National Bank of Hamilton in 1928. The Hamilton Dime Savings Bank was established in 1897. Originally located on the corner of A and Main Street, the move was made to High St. in 1901 until they were purchased in May of 1928 by First National Bank and Trust. George P. Sohngen was the first President of the bank, with Judge Clarence Murphy serving as V.P. The cashier was William J. Becker. All 3 men were known for their success with finances and for being "high men of judgment and character". #TBT
