Jacob Trine, my 5th Great Uncle, married Catherine Bobenmeyer ... they came to Butler county in 1832 with her parents Frederick & Christina Kline Bobenmeyer: "The city of Hamilton near where the Bobenmoyers located was then a rough, log frontier trading post. The region was very new and had a rich productive soil and abundance of rain. Vast forests covered the entire landscape and in many places the trees stood so close together that it was necessary to remove some before buildings, such as, cabins or stables could be erected."

“ This graphic reads like a street map of Hamilton/Fairfield Township. My interest is Emma Gertrude Vinnedge Bobenmeyer (Top Row Right), and her ancestry. Not sure where I got this pix, but if anyone has a better copy, I'd love to see it.”
