MacNeal and Urban Safe

Macneale & Urban Safe & Lock Company was Hamilton’s first safe factory (1890). It was located at Millville and Edgewood Avenues at the railroad. Mosler opened in 1891 and Herring-Hall-Marvin broke ground in 1896, eventually giving Hamilton, Ohio the legitimate claim to being “the Safe Capital of the World”.
