Hamilton Gateway
Myklebust and Sears began working collaboratively in 1993, and have created more than forty sculptural works for sites across the United States.Their design goals for the Hamilton Gateway were to create a forward-looking and celebratory artwork that builds a ceremonial entry to Hamilton, combines historic and contemporary materials, reinforces a pedestrian-friendly space, incorporates light as a key element, and brings historic sculptural work seen in Hamilton’s old municipal buildings to the new civic structure. This 66-foot sculpture in front of the new Government Services Center on High Street created by Andrea Myklebust and Stanton G. Sears, was donated by Judge and Mrs. John R. and Shirley K. Moser.
