The Enjoyable Robert McCloskey Tour

Join us on a jaunt around the streets that Robert McCloskey wandered during his boyhood. Most of the sketches in Mr. McCloskey's classic children's books of “Lentil”, “Homer Price” and the “Centerburg Tales” are recollections of Hamilton, Ohio. Please feel welcome to join us on this fun and informative tour.
Tour Begins at:
See the attached map. We will begin our tour at the Hamilton Central YMCA located at 105 N 2nd St, Hamilton, OH 45011. Meet at the main entrance located on 2nd Street.
Duration:
Approximately 90 - 120 minutes
Intensity:
Moderate - Approximately 1 -1/2 miles of mostly flat walking; This tour is Stroller and Wheelchair Accessible. We will be walking near and crossing downtown streets. We will cross the High Main Bridge.
Restroom:
Public restrooms are sparse on this tour. Please plan accordingly.
Kids:
We welcome people of all ages on all of our tours. We expect that children that are familiar with Robert McCloskey's books will enjoy this tour. Specifically read the book “Lentil” with your children prior to coming on the tour. Up to two kids per paying adult are welcome to attend at no charge.
Weather:
All of our tours are rain or shine events. If rain is a possibility then please wear a poncho or carry an umbrella.
